INVITATION: Workshop on 3D technologies in Culture and Heritage (Kiblix festival), 9. 10. 2014, Maribor, Slovenia

You are kindly invited to join as at the Workshop on 3D technologies in Culture and Heritage within the KIBLIX festival!

Due to their specific interactivity 3D technologies are an indispensable tool for visual communication in various fields of human activity. In a time when museums and other cultural institutions are increasingly opening up to the public, 3D tools, if chosen properly, enable greater inclusion, active participation and experience of content.

At the workshop, participants will learn about the different types of 3D through the virtual (virtual museums, exhibitions and tours), mixed (augmented reality), and physical (3D printing) realities. At the same time they will become acquainted with elements of gamification (serious games) and be actively involved in the making of a 3D model using photos, creating video (animation) and preparing the model for 3D printing.
